Six video screens, art.espionage members
“inter view” is a video installation presented on six identical screens in different locations in the exhibition space. In each screen, an interview is taking place. The six artists are placed in the same studio, in the same position, speaking the same text in the same time. The text is an artist’s statement and biography of the group
presented as a first person statement in the present. The viewer is welcome to watch all six interviews at the same time, or focus only
on one of them in order to understand the meaning of the text and gestures.
The written text of the interview is an essential part of the work presented in a poster as a script or as directors’ orders. “inter view” is a videoart which examines the relation between the personal insight
and the external interview. The work offers a fascinating biographic perspective on the group’s activity and on the thought and work process of six artists who come rom different fields.
