Colored panels, prospects and paint tubes
“collection 2013” was an installation dealling with the possibilities of art branding and marketing, through launching a 2013 color collection picked up by art.espionage members. The installation was also an inauguration of the group’s new studio and gallery at No. 1 Sara Street.
The collection is an assembly of eighteen colors, picked by the group. Each one of the six members chose 3 colors which were to be his or her recommendation for the year 2013. In the space were installations of different objects colored in these
colors: panels, brochures and paint tubes to be purchased by the users.
The collection is a bold declaration which contemplates on the post minimalist practice and at the same time corresponds with a pop-art and conceptual art approach. The collection is a Tara installation, a skinny, scorched installation which offers a mechanism without substance, gross without net.
